How to do binary subtraction in two's complement?

I need help for figuring the working out on how to do binary subtraction with the following:

Question 1:

0110101

01111110 -

----------------

=

Question 2:

010111000

0111001 -

-----------------

=

    First find one's complement of the number you're subtracting from the other number(subtrahend) by changing all 1's to 0's and all 0's to 1's. Two's complement of this will be obtained by adding 1 to this newly obtained number. Add the minuend and the newly obtained number to get your difference

    Why not change the subtrahends so that you have addition?
