Can I replace a smartphone processor for a better one?

I am thinking of getting a certain phone that was released a few years back. It is a great phone, except due to its time of release, the specs weren t the best in the world. So I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade its processor from 800mhz to at least 1ghz. It is an LG Ally. I hear most people saying no, but some saying they ve seen it done or it s possible but hard to do. If there is a way or a website I can visit to get more information, anyhing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Can you do it? No.

Could someone that understands how to program and had access to the parts needed to do it, desolder parts on the motherboard without destroying them with heat, and then solder on the programmed processor and support chips. Maybe, but it is unlikely they would do it for free or for you in the first place.

There really is no way to change the processor without industrial equipment. This isn't like a PC, these microchips are into the board and really can't be moved.

No. They are soldered into the boards and cannot be removed. You only improve your phone by getting a better one.
