Alaska anyone?

My husband and I are senior citizens' I'm slightly disabled for walking. I use a walker to get around most of the time. He wants to see Alaska and go fishing.

Can anyone suggest an area we can go' rent a cabin and go fishing...but also has some other attractions as well?

    Go to Anchorage. Lots of rivers and lakes in and around.

    Still have the big city amenities but the wilderness is just a close drive.

    Also, take the train from Anchorage to Fairbanks. Great train ride.

    I visited Alaska last month and am already planning my next trip!

    You might want to look on VRBO.com (vacation rentals by owner) for cottages around Anchorage. I think you can select a search based on places that have handicap access. Here is one I found on there:

    I'd suggest going on a cruise that offers fishing on one of the shore trips.
