I guess you weren't aware that the actions of France, some other European powers and the US was to impose a no-fly zone to keep Qaddafi from retaliating with air power against this own people, although the coalition did try to drop a bomb or two on Qaddafi himself.

What you DON'T GET is the reason why Syria is such a mess right now, spawning ISIS, the massive refugee problem and putting more Iranian influence there, including their troops is because no one has COME to the aid of the Syrian rebels who were trying to overthrow their hated dictator, Bashar Assad. There was a window of opportunity for a US led coalition (without a US invasion, maybe a few special forces though) to help remove Assad. It could have been done with arms, supplies, intel and air power. Early on, even Russia could have been convinced to help usher him out. EVERYTHING that has happened since 2013, including all the deaths since then, could have been avoided and the Syrians would now be in charge of their own destiny.

With your philosophy, in just the 20th century alone, Nazi Germany would be ruling most of Europe and Fascist Italy would be ruling it's new "Roman Empire". The Pacific Rim, including China, Philippines and maybe even New Zealand, Australia would be ruled by the Japanese empire. Or maybe you would have liked the USSR to have conquered Europe, good swaths of Asia and Japan instead?
