Here's the Pros and Cons for each:
Windows 7:
Rock solid reliability
Very elegant looking interface
Will continue to receive security updates through 2020
Will not receive any new feature updates
User interface is familiar to most.
Bit of a resource hog
Window 10:
No longer term track record, but so far looks pretty good for reliability.
Will not only get security updates, but will get feature updates for years to come
In terms of use, looks and operates more like Windows 7 than that horrid Windows 8
Interface is not as elegant.
Less of a resource hog. Actually meaner and leaner than Windows 7.
I use 4 Windows PCs I use for various things. All were Windows 7. I upgraded the least important one to Windows 10. So far I have no complaints. It operates and looks very much like Windows 7, though the color scheme and effects are different.
My suggestion is, if you are happy using Windows 7 and your system runs fast with it, stick with it. I see no reason to change. But if you are bored of Windows 7 and want something new, Windows 10 is just fine.
