Is anyone else receiving spurious notifications?

I keep getting notifications that someone has won best answer for questions for which it says "You are following this question", even though I am not following any of them and have never even looked at them.

Something is definitely amiss with the notifications.... it is happening to others. I don't Follow questions at all now so it is weird that it is happening with lots of notifications.

Opening the questions did not show that anyone was following it. I have a page full of those notices.

One way to stop it could be on Notifications / Customize feed and choose to not have ....When a question you follow... Has a new answer, Has a best answer chosen, then click Apply.

I haven't seen it since changing those settings.

Could be Yahoo trying to fix something causing it or another glitch that may correct on it's own or something we will just have to put up with until it is fixed.

Chances are good it is not a security issue.

Happening to others too and not Browser related.

Lots are. That is the latest glitch on answers. They are aware of the problem, and it seems to be going away slowly.
