Question for those who want to welcome all the Syrian refugees with open hearts and open arms...?

In the last few weeks, I have watched TONS of fb posts about how veterans are homeless and we are gonna help refuges at the expense of Vets. In return, I have posted several times that VETERANS HAVE AND ARE ENTITLED TO HOUSING BENEFITS through the VA. And linked to an organization that focuses on connecting Vets with those entitlements. Those benefits have nothing to do with refugees from Syria or anywhere else.

My posts have not gotten a lot of response. It's easier to circulate false information than actually doing anything.

So, why would you assume that I am doing "nothing"?? My posts may be about vets, but that certainly does not mean I limit my concerns to them.

Ask yourself.. WHICH PARTY IS CONSTANTLY DEMEANING THE POOR AND TRYING TO CUT PROGRAMS SUCH AS FOOD STAMPS? WHO ARE the politicians or such, who portray all poor persons as drug infested leeches?

How do you know they haven't done anything? The US is capable of doing more than one thing at once and can work to combat homelessness domestically while still giving refuge to people fleeing a war zone.

Obama has said it clearly. We need 500,000 cigarette smoking, Iphone fiddling, muslim men. Our country could sure use it. We can see who is a terrorist when they act. Then we can arrest them and put them through the greatest court system in the world

Anything else would recruit ISIS. Also, ISIS was started from global warming

And don't pretend to care a lick about the homeless in the US when the far right never has cared about them before.

Who says I haven't? I volunteer at the soup kitchen. I give to charity. I help troubled youth. And I pay my taxes.

Question for you. Why are Republicans such bigots and cowards?

I've voted Democrat all I can, but too many other people vote Republican. We live in a democracy you know.

They can't politicize it as easy. They love spending peoples money. But yet none of them open up their homes to them
