Is this a win or a fail?

I loved the response this drama teacher texted to a homophobic woman who didn't want her children "influenced by unconventional ideas," but then I started thinking:

Did this guy really knock her down a notch, or will she think his response was evidence for the imaginary war on Christianity?

people who think their fundamental ideas are bing challenged accuse the others of "waging a war on Truth"

this is exactly what the ISIS fanatics do to justify their murder and destruction.

I must confess to being a little wishy-washy on this one, so I will turn the question back on you, lol.

Let us say you enrolled your child in a drama program, and you found out later the teacher was a very fundamentalist preacher on the side. So you withdrew your child from the program because you didn't want her influenced by fanatacism. The teacher/preacher texts you back and says, sorry, the deposit is not refundable, but don't worry-- I have donated it to the 700 club. Would you feel knocked down a notch or would you feel his response was evidence for the imaginary war on atheism?
