Let's talk stuffi?ng?

If you make stuffing or just enjoy it with Thanksgiving dinner, what kind? Or 'dressing' if that's your local lingo?

Cornbread, white bread, wheat, mixed?

Seasoned bread, or do you like it chunky with meat, fruit, nuts, veggies, etc?

Do you like it cooked in the bird or in a baking dish on the side?

We call it both here where I live, stuffing and dressing...so if you where to ask two people at my gathering you might get both answers!

I do a mixed version with white & wheat breads. And the main ingredients are sausage, apples and cranberries. The salty savoriness of the sausage goes really well with the cranberries. And the apples give the stuffing a lighter feel to it so the dish isn't so heavy and weighed down. (I skip the celery. I was never a fan of that flavor component as a child.)

*It's a side dish, we leave our turkey un-stuffed.

I make it with cubed white bread in a baking dish on the side, no meat, but with celery and onions. I prefer it more on the dry side so I use less water.
