Do I need special pans to cook on Kenmore 5.4 cu. ft. Freestanding Induction Range? Thanks in advance?

Any pan that has a bottom that a magnet will attach to can be used on an induction stove.

Glass and aluminum are out. If you have stainless steel you could use those. If you have aluminum that has a bottom that is layered and a magnet will adhere to it then you can use it.

Can I use the old copper bottom Revere pans on the stove? Just thinking of getting one, but I heard maybe not, so just wanting someone's input, before I buy a new stove

these cook tops work by magnatism! so the pans must be metal, but not aluminum!! The corning, the coated aluminum, etc do not work, but everything else does!
