Does Syria have rights to shoot down American warplanes?

Obama says that Turkey has rights to shoot down foreign warplanes.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/obama-says-turkey...

Update:

No coalition of governments can let US warplanes into Syrian airspace, because it is Syrian airspace.

Only Syrian government can allow it.

Very similar to how only Turkish government can grant access to Turkey airspace.

Update 2:

@ Aerialnine

I can mention US, Germany, China or any other country.

If one country has right to defend itself, other countries have that right as well.

Every country has a right to protect its sovereign airspace.

Yes. This is why the president works with a coelition of countries that do have permission to fly over with military aircraft.

We are going after Isis, not Assad. Russia is going after Syrians opposition party and rebels.

This is all we can do without the permission from congress.

Well what do you mean by right. Every country has the right to defend themselves. If the U.S. is interfering with someone else's safety then they can fight back. Though on a moral scale, nobody should have the "right" to kill anyone.

    If they want to, yes.

    They are a sovereign nation.

For the record, what Turkey did was ******* stupid.
