Which is worse for a 15 year old girl belly ring or tongue piercing?
I'm attempting to convince my mother to allow me to get my tongue pierced. I had gotten my cartilage pierced back in August and wanted to have a few more piercings. She thinks that a tongue piercing is too extreme and I should wait until I'm sixteen, yet she is fine if I get a nose, belly, or another ear piercing. I tried to explain that I'd want the tongue piercing for myself and that it would be hidden unlike another face piercing yet she still disagrees on the matter.

I'd go ahead and wait on the tongue piercing and go with the belly piercing. Sounds like you can technically get both in the end anyway. Tongue piercings take a lot of work though. And they are sometimes not as great as people hope. Use the time to get the belly button piercing and let it heal and make sure you research and find a kickass place for the tongue piercing. Some places aren't really meant to do them, but do anyway, and then kids get screwed over.

Honestly I think 15 is a little young for anything but lobe piercings. After I turned 18 though I got 6 piercings in the course of 3 weeks to a month (one on my nose and 5 other places on my ear). Just FYI I wouldn't recommend doing that...it is very hard to sleep on either side of your face and there's constantly pain in your ears, plus the cleaning process 3 times a day can be time consuming. But anyway back to your piercing, if you want to be pierced you're going to find a way to do so. I'd recommend going to a piercer at a tattoo shop who will use a needle and NOT A PIERCING GUN (of course go with a parent). Definitely DO NOT try doing it yourself or having a friend do it unprofessionally- there are so many things that can go wrong that that it's not even worth it. Another thing I'd like to point out is that not all insurance companies will cover dental work if you have a tongue piercing, so have a parent check on that. Belly piercings aren't my style, so I'd go with the nose!

If you are 15, i think a belly ring would be pretty! If you want your tounge pierced, just wait another year so your mom can allow you to. It is more difficult to maintain a tounge piercing, it gets infected easier and might be more sore afterwards.
Since its winter it is the perfect time to get a belly ring, because you need to wait about 3 months before swimming.
In my opinion, a belly ring is feminine, but a toung piercing may be taken as slutty ( for a dumb reason ) at 15, so if i were you if wait a year to get a tounge if you really want.
And if you only want a tounge and not a belly as much, dont get both for no reason, youd regret it. Only if you really want them both. Make sure to do lots of research on aftercare as well!
Best wishes Cx

Tongue is worse. Sometimes a tongue ring means that you suck dick. I'm 16 now and I got my belly pierced a week ago. At least you can hide a belly piercing

Tongue piercings are worse for a 15 year old to have in my opinion. A belly button ring is a little trashy too, but the tongue ring may take it a little too far. Just ear piercings are good for someone that young.

I'm 15 too and I think tongue piercings look bad/ seem annoying. a belly piercing looks better, but I think it's Best to just stick to ears and nose piercings

Tongue piercings are ugly. I got my belly pierced at 16 and im 20 now. I think belly piercings are sexy, especially if you have a nice body.

Tongue piercings chip teeth and get infected a whole lot more. Belly rings are better.

Tongue piercing almost always causes dental problems that can often lead to losing ones front teeth, better go with the belly ring
