Plus Size Crossdressing?

Hi!

I am a male who is interested in crossdressing. I am 6'1'', 285 lbs, a little extra weight w/ a wide stature: Simply put I don't have a very feminine look to myself. I happily identify as male, but I am Pansexual; I'm just interested into getting in the world of crossdressing. I'm slowly but surely loosing more weight, so hopefully I will have a skinnier stance and be able to get a nice feminine curve.

But for now; how would someone like me who is plus size and masculine-looking achieve a more feminine look? I have looked up several tutorials on makeup, but the trouble is finding the right clothes, and a friend and crossdresser told me if I want to have the hourglass figure, and more a feminine look, then I would have to purchase a cinch or corset. I've never used one before, and I'm afraid that if I buy the wrong one, then it won't work and I'll still have the big belly hanging, with the broad shoulders.

So basically: Is there anyway I can look more feminine, and crossdress and hide my masculine stature?

Thanks!

You might want to try looking into Crossdressers.com for some insight and advice. I also believe there are multiple different links there for clothing, lingerie, breastforms, etc. I used to have a ton of different links for that, unfortunately a spilled cup of coffee completely fried that laptop.

As for the "figure" you want, you might try going to a lingerie boutique that does bra fittings and have them do that. As well as discuss, and possibly try on, the multiple and various figure control options available. And a well made and proper fitting bra will do wonders alone. After I had mine done, I noticed an immediate improvement. I've also noticed a wide variety of choices on YouTube for various types of crossdressing ideas and information. And just thought of this, a trip to Lane Bryant might be just the ticket you need, as they specialize in the larger ladies attire and lingerie.

Good luck and don't give up

    Please ignore those other replies.

You'd probably do best dressing like women who are overweight dress. They don't buy waist cinches and corsets. Instead they get great boots, tights that fit (try Sock Dreams), shorter skirts, and big, flowing tops that are not in bold prints that draw the eye. (Prints are fine, but the image shouldn't be huge.) Find YouTube tutorials on makeup for transgender and cross-dressing people and buy the products that look right for you. Take the time to learn to use eye liner, shadow, and mascara. Either grow your real hair out and get a gender-neutral cut or spend enough to get a decent wig.

Be who you want to be--and be safe. You'd be surprised at the men who feel so threatened by someone who they don't understand that they threaten, hassle, or harm them.

Good God you will look ridiculous. A huge male stomping about in women's clothes and make-up. Act as a pantomime dame. Widow Twanky or something.
