Ideas on Christmas giving?

I usually spend $50-$75 per person, but need to cut back drastically. I am a mother and grandmother and my husband and I are currently buying Christmas presents for 25 family members! My husband is retired and I will be retiring in 2 years. We will both be on fixed incomes. I need to cut my budget for Christmas somehow, but would still like to do something for everyone or at least purchase a small gift. Any ideas to still be able to enjoy the gift of giving to my family? My family will understand no matter what I decide.

  • That's a lot of people to buy for. A few things come to mind.

    - Do you or your husband make or create things that people would like receiving? If so, you could do that.

    - Could you do a vacation/trip/outing/event with at least a few people? Maybe buy the both of you and several other people tickets to a show, game, something you can experience together? It doesn't have to be expensive, either. I think a family outing to a minor league game, for instance, would be memorable for everyone.

    - If those don't work, maybe there are other gifts you can get for several people to share. This can be things for a family, like a Netflix subscription, game set, books or consumer electronics, or something like a yearly membership to a museum, botanical garden or the like.

How about a card, reflecting on the true spirit of love and Christmas?
