If we are truly repentant (sorry) for whatever we have done, God not only forgives us, but he forgets about it. Psalms 103:11-14 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So great is his loyal love toward those who fear him. As far off as the sunrise is from the sunset, So far off from us he has put our transgressions. As a father shows mercy to his sons, Jehovah has shown mercy to those who fear him. For he will knows how we are formed, Remembering that we are dust." Humans may forgive one another, but forgetting is the problem we have. You can learn how much Jehovah God wants only for us to be happy if you will go to the international website, jw.org and Bible Teachings > Bible Questions Answered. You can even request your FREE personal Bible study at a time and place convenient for you.

Assuming a belief in God and forgiveness (which I do not share), it is entirely within the teachings of Christianity for God to forgive your wrongdoings--but your wife, neighbor, boss, or whoever else you wronged does not have to forgive you. God's forgiveness gives *you* peace, but the people you harmed don't necessarily have that peace.
