How to fall out of love with your best friend (I'm bi, he's straight)?

I know this issue comes up a lot with Bi/Gay guys who have straight friends. So I need some serious help/advice.

I have a best friend who lives about 1.5 hours away now. We get together several times a year and we text every day and have phone calls that are hours long.

I have fallen so deeply in love with him, and I've told him, so it's no secret. He is straight, but tolerant of me being close to him when we hang out. He's the best guy ever and is so kind and gentle with everyone.

My issue is how heartbroken I get because I can't "be" with him....at least not in the ways I would like to. Seeing pictures of him with girls and stuff tears me apart. So seriously, what should I do? He really is my ONLY real friend and we trust each other with everything. No secrets, nothing held back, and like I said, I've never had a better friend.

How would you get over it? I really wish I can keep this friendship and just stop caring so much, but is that even possible???

Time heals all wounds. You just got to focus on finding someone else instead.
