Why are people so skeptical about Big Foot?

Now I understand the skepticism about things such as Ghosts, Demons, Angels, God, Spirits, etc...

But Big Foot...to me just sounds like some unknown species relating to an ape or gorilla.

Not very BIZZARE or OUT OF THE NORM as people claim it lol.

We discover new species all the time.

Some Big Foot like creature may exist. It really isn't anything supernatural or paranormal.

Why the skepticism?

I think by now, with people having cameras everywhere and reality shows going into the wilderness, there would have been some real evidence at this point.

But I'm with you... if such a creature exists, it's just another big ape species, perhaps a rare and clever one, but nothing mystical about it.

Unless you believe that author who claims he communicates with big feet via telepathy... lol.

It would be nearly unthinkable at this time to believe a large animal exists that hasn't been found yet.

The new species you mention are all just differences in existing animals and insects, not new types of large animals.

If there was bigfeet, one would be stuffed on a hunters wall by now

Same with Ghosts, Demons, Angels, God, Spirits. Hunters love a new challenge.

Complete lack of evidence. It's true another ape species could exist, but there have never been any apes in North or South America, besides humans. There are no bones, no fossils. Yetis are more likely. Gigantopithecus at least lived in the correct area, ~100,000 years ago.

I am skeptical of all things unproven.

There is something to the Bigfoot thing, but we don't know what.

There is evidence that indicates such, but not conclusive evidence.

I find the whole thing rather interesting, but I remain unconvinced, yet open as always to new evidence when ever it shows up.

It's because of the supposed location its in, and the size of the creature. Yes new species are discovered every day, but that's because they are tiny and really easy to miss. Also the is no fossil record in the area with any evidence of primates, meaning it didn't evolve there if it is there.

People have been living in North America for upwards of 10,000 years so I think by now there would have been solid evidence of their existence. Ever seen a dead squirrel, bird, etc.?

Ever seen a dead bigfoot? No? Neither has anyone else.

I liked Andre the Giant as Bigfoot, in the Six Million Dollar Man.

Why dont they ever get hit by cars? If it existed it would need enough numbers to reproduce, and given that no sees them, the reproducing population seems unlikely

Because there is no verifiable evidence for it.
