Can you play music while playing a game on the Wii?

Not through the console itself. As a matter of fact, I don't think that the Wii can even play music files.
Quite ironic that my username is WiiHomebrewMaster, yet I'm not 100% sure about my answer. It's been about 4 years since I really used the Wii, so I pretty much forgot everything I learned about Wii soft-modding and in general.
I haven't used the Wii more than 24 total hours ever since I got the PS3 in 2011.
