Chemical exfoliation vs. Manual exfoliation?

Which gives a better result: Retin-A, glycolic acid peels, alpha-hydroxyl acids, etc. or the battery operated cleansing brush that is so popular right now?

When I used my Clarisonic brush and face wash alone, I was not getting the results I wantee. I went to a dermatologist and was prescribed tretinoin (generic Retin-A) and now all of my post acne marks from my moderate acne is completely gone after 6 weeks of nightly use! I was prescribed 0.05% tretinoin cream. I also take doxycycline. I would highly recommend using tretinoin because it also reduces and prevents the signs of aging within 3 months of us, such as fine lines. The sooner you use it, the better results.

Physical methods won't increase your risk of sun damage like acid treatments will. Skin treatments meant to remove skin layers should only be used at night, and if you use them regularly you need to use sunscreen every day.
