Air pellet gun question?

Do multi pump pneumatic pellet/bb rifles weaken quickly? You know the ones I'm talking about, like the ones from crosman where you pump the under-barrel A few times then cock back the lever to load the pellet. I bought a m4 .177 caliber pellet gun today and I am just wondering if they weaken quickly like spring guns do. It's 625 fps about.

Your Crosman M4-177 is an inexpensive multi pump, and more hit or miss as to quality. But, If you don't abuse it, maintain it well including using Crosman Pellgunoil as directed. You'll probably get years of use out of the rifle.

    Benjamin 392(.22) and 397(.177)

Are very durable. I've shot Benjamin 312 rifles(basically the same as a 392) which were over 50 years old and they still shot just as hard(chronograph) as a brand new 392

If you buy a 392 and take care of it. It should still be a good rifle when your kids hand it down to their kids.

    BTW

    Crosman owns Benjamin .

In my experience, those guns are pretty tough. My friend and I have been shooting a Crosman Classic for years and I haven't noticed its performance diminish at all. The other nice thing about multi-pump rifles is that they're good for long-distance shooting (depending on the velocity), comparable to pre-charged pneumatic (pcp) rifles.
