can a professor able to change the grade from F to W?
I am hoping to get a F in my discreet math class because i could not put enough time on it. Is there anyway i can ask the professor not to give me a F cause it will affect my GPA badly. I will take this class once again and hopefully be able to get a better grade.

Not likely. Withdrawing from a course typically has a deadline. You would need to petition the decision with and excuse such as illness or death in the family. Talk to your professor and ask if there are any steps you can take.
