Is Jesus love.......?

God is love, the Bible states (1 John 4:16), and God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

In Titus 3:4-6 we read that "But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Saviour."

Now, you might think that continues to make a distinction between God and Jesus, but read a few verses previously, in Titus 2:11-13. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men... while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ."

There is no separating the love of God from our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and the love He demonstrated by dying for us on the cross. Jesus is the outworking of God's love, for Jesus is God incarnate - John 1:1-14 proves that! Yes, Jesus is love just as much as God is love, for they subsist in the one Being of God.

Jesus is what love looks like when it's walking around.

Indeed He is! Along with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” (John 20:28-29)

Jesus loves humankind. That's why he came to teach us the way to enter God's kingdom (heaven), so that we can be with him and work with him in God's kingdom, after we die. Jesus taught us that by loving humankind, and by showing this love by doing good to the needy persons we come across in life, we earn our eligibility to enter God's kingdom.

God is love, Jesus is not God but Jesus does love.
