I don't have a map of the trip. However, according to the link, she had to travel up and down many hills, and the trip was about 90 miles.

First, she traveled south along the flatlands of the Jordan River. Then she went west over the hills surrounding Jerusalem, and then she went on into Bethlehem.

She could travel only 10 miles a day, and the weather was terrible---it was cold and rainy. As you stated, the trails were unpaved, and so they were difficult to cross. She also had to go through a forest where there were lions, bears, boars, and criminals, such as robbers and outlaws. Throughout the trip, she had to provide her own food and water.

The same way pregnant women travel from Syria to try to get to a safe place nowadays. And with a similar result: once they get there, some fat-butt politician like Donald Drunk tells them there's "no room for you."
