Should I see a doctor about breast lump?

This lump has been here for around 2 or 3 months, but was not as noticeable in the beginning. My period doesn't affect it, it doesn't get better or worse. I'm on birth control as well, a daily pill, not a shot or IUD.

I noticed the lump first because my nipple was asymmetrical and no longer round. It kind of bulged near the bottom. It feels like a knot, kind of like a marble. It didn't hurt at first, but now it's pretty tender. I can feel it even when I'm not touching it. Just by wearing a sports bra, I can feel it pressed against me. My breasts are pretty not large, around a B-C depending on the brand. It moves a bit when I touch it, but not much. It's not squishy by any means. And it's definitely not like this in the other breast. The lump is centralized around the nipple,

It feels larger, for sure. It's more sensitive and my breast still looks visibly asymmetrical. I know I probably should go to the doctor anyway, but I'm wondering if I can get away with not going?

So really, my question is, "Is this as serious as I think it is?"

Yes, go see your doctor. Lumps alone are really a big concern, more likely than not it's a cyst or swelling due to hormonal issues - uneven areola and pain is a bit more of a concern, remember too that if you're on hormonal birth control you are at higher risk of developing breast cancer. Hopefully it's nothing more than a cyst, an examination and referral for an ultrasound will likely put your mind at ease, and if it is serious better to deal with it as soon as possible.

don't worry just go get it checked out. I get water cysts and I would not go to the doctor for a couple years. I was so worried could not sleep.etc. finally i went to the doctor and its just water cysts, nothing to worry about. funny thing is after I got it checked out it went away. meditate on clearing yourself from worry and anxiety and ask for healing. the power of positive thinking works.
