Why do people support Trump?

Don't they know he can't take any action against muslims because their are protected by freedom of religion

Update:

I mean action against muslim citizens who were born in America

As far as I know, Trump has not called for ANY action against Muslim citizens, born in the US or naturalized. If you have information that supports that, I'd love to see it. I'm not telling you I don't believe you - only that I haven't seen it.

The only thing that I have seen that came directly from Trump (and not articles and opinions about reactions to what people believe he said) is that he wants to institute a complete ban against all Muslim immigration and travel to the US. He qualifies this by saying that the ban would be imposed "Until we can figure out what's going on".

If we were at war with a country, or if we could be sure that a specific country were behind terrorist attacks on US soil, I think it would be easy to restrict or outright ban travel to the US from that country until diplomatic relations were re-established, or at least until some kind of peace were established.

With Islam it's a little different - because we are dealing with a minority radical faction of an ideology that spreads among many nations - the number of Muslims worldwide is over 2 billion, so even a tiny fraction of that number is in the millions (one-half of one-percent of the Muslim population is 1 million).

The problem is that Islam is not just a religion - it is a set of laws whose followers frequently believe supersede the laws of the country in which they live. This certainly doesn't apply to all Muslims, but the indistinct line between a "religion" and "law" make this uncharted territory.

I think what we would all like is to ban entry to this country by "Those following an extreme political ideology that seeks to destroy this country from within through violent means".

So who are these people? Not all Muslims are Jihadists, but all Jihadists are Muslims.

Trump is not a Washington politician where those that were elected to fight for us have coward at the mention of Government shutdown, have not done anything to quell illegal immigration. They don't fight for us.

So I am hoping they get shlonged by Donald Trump.

We know that, but we like Trump anyway. If you had a higher IQ, you'd know what I mean.

Most Trump supporters are young, uneducated, poor white men.

People that like Trump are the everyday average Joe that is pissed off at the current situation, specifically, the economy and terrorism. Btw, banning Muslims could actually be legal.

because they are scared and uneducated and the media is telling them its the muslims fault. Trump is taking advantage of this fear and using it to make power kind of like Hitler did in Germany.

Ignorant people who like what they hear from him. Trump supporters will not bother to look further into his plans and just how unrealistic and outlandish they are.

There is nothing wrong with pausing immigration until we straighten out the mess that Obama has (deliberately) created.
