What's a good mobile phone for making phone calls?

I have a smart phone. fine for apps but to actually make phone calls the sound is poor, the person on the other end often asking me to repeat myself, etc. I want to replace it. I would settle for a basic flip phone if it served it's purpose in making good solid phone calls. Any recommendations?

Update:

Appreciate the iPhone suggestions, but iPhone is not an option for me right now. Besides iPhone, what are good phone call making mobiles, please?

    Most 2G and 3G phones are good for making phone calls. Many smart phones that use 4G often revert back to 3G or 2G due to signal drop. Basic flip phones would be the Alcatel 2012, or Samsung flip phones.

    Probaly the phone is messed up I don't mean to sound cliche but the iphone 6 is good lol.
