Is it allowed to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas, even if suddenly under this administration it is not "politically correct"?

Update:

I have to agree that it's been 7 years of progressively worsening White House pressures to change American society and force other beliefs on the populace, but LAST YEAR we could send Christmas cards to our troops overseas, but NOT THIS YEAR.

That is suddenly in my book! 2015 has been a record year for this kind of garbage! More disruption of American society has occurred in 2015 than in all of the other years he's been in office combined.

Which administration are you living under? Here in the U.S., lots of people say Merry Christmas. Also Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings! Have a good one, sir!

Your (apparently VERY) poor education is showing, Norbert.....the greeting "Merry Christmas" comes from the (relatively recently-written) Christmas Carol "We Wish You A Merry Christmas", popularized by Charles Dickens on his late 1800's book tour of your (at that time VERY) young country....BEFORE Dickens, it was routine practice in what is now the USA to wish folks "Happy Holidays" at this time of year because one could often not tell "just by looking" whether they were Jewish, or Reformed Jewish, or Baptist, or Protestant, or Jehovah's Witnesses, or whatever, and in THOSE days, Americans still knew their Constitution, and understood this to be a SECULAR nation....

I do enjoy all the kerfuffle over people saying "Happy Holidays" again, though!

    Happy Holidays!

Say whatever you like; just don't insist everyone else repeat your favorite phrase. Cons are the worst when it come to Political Correctness!

    • You're free to wish people Merry Christmas, but it might not mean much to Jews or atheists.

    • You're free to wish people Happy Hanukkah, but that might not mean much to Christians or atheists.

    • If you wish people Happy Holidays, it'll probably mean something to all of those people.

Do you see how that works now?

Dude the fact that you wrote this means the New Black Panthers have been dispatched to your residence to confiscate your weapons, place you in a FEMA camp and force you to gay marry an illegal alien. You are toast!

The administration can only tell its own employees what to say when they are on official business.
