Learner's permits DO NOT transfer between states. When you move to Florida, you'll have to start over with a new written test for a new permit and follow the laws in Florida to eventually get your drivers license.

You will need to start again. If you have a license it can be transferred, but not a permit in Florida.

Just moved to Florida and need to get a driver license and your car registered?

Arrow Graphic If you have an out-of-state license, you may be able to convert it to a Florida driver's license without having to take a written or road test. Review the requirements for citizens and non-citizens.

Probably since each State has their own test and variations of the laws.
