What is up with the trend of naming little girls actual boy names, not unisex but straight up masculine names?

I know, to each their own! Im just wondering why it's so popular. I wouldn't do it. Ive heard of little girls named Hunter and one Mason. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds daughter is James. Kristin cavallaris daughter's middle name is james. Ashton kutcher and Mila K Kunis daughter is Wyatt. No rude, ignorant comments please, just why is it a thing?

    I think it is terrible to use boy names on girls.

    People just want to be different. They don't realize the tough time the child may have growing up.
