Question about lipstick?

I am not too familiar with cosmetics but felt like at the age of 25 I should have some idea of how to wear them. I bought a nice shade of lipstick (Colourpop Lippie Stix in the color Grunge) and I like how the color looks on me. My lips are usually hydrated and not chapped or anything but when I wear it, the little lines on my lips become more pronounced, if you know what I mean. How would I combat this, so that my lipstick looks smooth on my lips? Thanks!

    Put on some lipbalm before using it! It might be drying your lips out.

    you can buy a lip primer or i recommend you try out nyx's soft matte lip cream because a lot of matte lip products out there well thats how its supposed to be when it comes to matte lips or you can try to use a firming cream or anti wrinkle on your lips
