Probability question?
A particular roulette wheel contains the numbers 1-22, zero, and double zero. Both zero and double zero are green. Half of the remaining numbers are black and the other half are red. Spinning the roulette wheel results in the ball landing on one of the numbers. What is the probability that the ball will land on the following numbers?
c. c. What is the probability that the ball will land on a number greater than or equal to 16?
Can you show me the method please?
2 AnswersMathematics5 years agoQuestion about meatballs?
I am making meatballs and I usually just add the seasonings and spices and let it marinate for a few hours before cooking. The last time I made them, the flavor was good but it fell apart too easily. So I figured I would add breadcrumbs this time. Would I add the breadcrumbs while marinating and let it sit for a few hours, or should I let the meat mixture sit to marinate and then mix in the breadcrumbs right before I roll them into meatballs and cook them? Thanks!

I am starting a food blog and was looking for a few name ideas. I was looking for foods that go together for a name. For example: Fig & Mint etc. My focus is on all types of food and nothing specific. I wanted the name to sound tasty, if that makes sense. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

12 AnswersWeddings5 years agoVery destructive cat that bites everything, please help?
Our cat is about 6 months old, we got her 4 months ago. She was a very shy and scared kitten but took to us pretty fast. She was 2 months old when we got her.
Anyway, she is possibly the most destructive cat I have ever come across. She has destroyed practically everything in the house: DVD player, couch, coffee table, pooped in expensive tablecloths (even though her litterbox is always clean) destroyed shoes, clothes, important papers, the printer, a laptop, all the chords and cables we have, we used to have a DVD collection but not anymore (she knocks them all down and chews on them) TV remotes, decorative ornaments have been chewed to oblivion.
I wish this was my only problem. She bites and scratches everybody, mostly me. I spend all my time with her, play with her, feed her, pet her, but she practically charges at as soon as she sees me, to bite or scratch me. And I am not talking little nips, I mean she draws blood and I invariably get hives because of it. We started clipping her nails which is awful. She spits and hisses and bites and scratches every inch of my fiance as she can, when he's cutting her nails. He has grown up with cats and has experience with clipping their nails. I've had 7 cats in my life, none like this. We can never sit down in the living room, she'll leap up and sit next to me for about half a second then bite hard and run away. She has a scratching post, lots of toys, fish flavored chew toys, lasers that we use, the cat fishing pole toys etc.
4 AnswersCats5 years agoQuestion about lipstick?
I am not too familiar with cosmetics but felt like at the age of 25 I should have some idea of how to wear them. I bought a nice shade of lipstick (Colourpop Lippie Stix in the color Grunge) and I like how the color looks on me. My lips are usually hydrated and not chapped or anything but when I wear it, the little lines on my lips become more pronounced, if you know what I mean. How would I combat this, so that my lipstick looks smooth on my lips? Thanks!
2 AnswersMakeup5 years agoDealing with destructive cat?
I have asked a similar question before but did not add quite a few details. So our cat is 5 months old, we have had her for 3 1/2 months now. She is not a bad cat per say but very difficult. She bites and scratches continuously, she has tons of toys, a scratching post, treats, cat condo type thing and she uses the scratching post but still bites and scratches without warning. We clip her nails every week, that just means she uses her teeth more.Today I bent to pick up a some paper and she lunged at my hand and bit me very hard, and ran and hid under the couch (we cannot reach her). She has ripped up the couch, the blinds, books, important documents, electronics. She chewed a laptop chord, which apparently short circuited the laptop, same with our DVD player. She broke the Christmas tree ornaments, chewed the lights, brought down the entire tree twice.
We tried calming collars, nothing. She does things and as soon as I look in her direction or walk towards her, she runs and hides behind the couch, as soon as I walk away, she's back doing it.
We keep the litterbox clean but yesterday she pooped on a nice decorative Indian coffee table cloth and smeared it all over. My fiance and I are used to cats, I've had a total of 10 cats over my lifetime and my fiance grew up with them and we have never encountered a problem. We play with her everyday, but nothing has changed. She comes up to where you are and purrs and sits next to you, then bites your hand or something and runs away.
3 AnswersCats5 years agoWhen do kittens calm down?
So we have a 5 month old kitten, we adopted her about 3 1/2 months ago. She is into EVERYTHING, all the time. You want to put up a Christmas tree? Nope, she took off almost all the ornaments, unplugged the lights and finally toppled tree (in a 2 day period). I put it back up without the ornaments, woke up to find the tree on the ground again. You have projects and homework due? I'm going to rip it up (these were for my senior level engineering courses, which I had to re do last minute). You have nice expensive leather bound books? Not anymore. You have a nice couch? Nope, going to destroy that too.
She has a scratching post/ kitty condo, tons of toys, we spend time with her. She has bitten and scratched me severely, more times than I can count. One of the scratches was so bad, I had hives on my entire arm for weeks and the actual hives left scars. We have tried calming collars (the aromatherapy ones). spending more time with her, nothing works. Please tell me she will grow out of this phase soon! What age is normal for kittens to be more relaxed and less bitey and fidgety? Please don't suggest getting another cat, I am too scared to.
4 AnswersCats5 years agoChinese rolled cookies?
I had a friend from China she gave me one of these pirouette type rolled wafer cookies and they were so delicious. She said they were from China and egg yolk and brown rice flavored. It was about 4-5 inches long, individually wrapped in a gold packet, with a little cartoon character on it. Does anyone have any idea of what this might be? Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Food & Drink5 years agoAdjustment period for progressive bifocals?
This is my first time wearing glasses, I was having trouble reading and slight trouble with distance. I had an eye exam and the doctor recommended progressive bifocals. My left eye is -0.25 and right eye is +0.25.
I finally got my glasses, and have been wearing them continuously so as to get used to them. The right eye feels fine, I can see clearly but my vision through my left eye is slightly blurry. IS that because -0.25 is worse than +0.25? Or is that typical of progressive bifocals? Will this sort of even out if I keep wearing them?
Thank you!

The tensile strength of paper is modeled by a normal distribution with a mean of 35 pounds per square inch and a standard deviation of 2 pounds per square inch.
What is the probability that the strength of a sample is less than 38 lb/in2? Round your answer to 4 decimal places.

1 AnswerMathematics6 years agoPoisson distribution question keep getting wrong?
A telecommunication station is designed to receive a maximum of 12 calls per second. If the number of calls to the station is modeled as a Poisson random variable with a mean of 9 calls per second, what is the probability that the number of calls will exceed the maximum design constraint of the station? Round your answers to four decimal places (e.g. 98.7654).
Doing this on my calculator I got:
0.7576 which is wrong.

2 AnswersMathematics6 years agoQuestion about DriveTime?
My fiance had a Nissan truck that he traded in today for a Chevy Malibu at Drivetime. During the test drive everything was fine, but as we were driving home (since it was quiet at night) we noticed a buzzing sound that was continuous.
We decided to return it as they have a return policy on it but we are wondering if we can get the old Nissan truck back or would they just give us the money for the trade in.
