Question about bridal party?
I m getting married in less than a year and asked 6 girls to be my bridesmaids, now 3 groomsmen cannot make it and we have no replacements. I don t want to have 6 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen, is there a polite way to tell the girls that I might have to narrow it down? Thanks

Oh, please do not do that!! You will destroy friendships while making a total bridezilla out of yourself and look back at this ridiculous notion and be embarrassed.
You simply cannot create an even Steven bridal party as your only dignified choice is to work with what you have.
Each brides maid is escorted down the aisle with one grooms man on each arm.
Now, remember, your wedding day will be remembered by few and forgotten by most. But the people you hurt will never forget. So don't go blowing friendships over a 240 minute wedding reception.

Sure, ring three of them up and say "It's more important to me to have the bridal party look symmetrical than it is to have my friends around me".
No, there is no polite way to announce to your friends that you think of them as accessories, not people.

No there is no way to do this that would not be a social insult. You3 extra so two of them walk together and one walks alone after the grooms men escort the other three down the aisle at the end of the ceremony At the start your 6 bridemaids come down the aisle in pairs the groomsmen do not come down the aisle at the start of the ceremony

There is no polite way to ask 3 of your bridesmaids to step down, it doesn't matter how your frame it. It really doesn't matter if you don't have even sides - you obviously asked these girls because they're important to you, so asking 3 of them to step down will forever alter your friendship with them (in fact, it will most likely end it).

If you already ask them there no polite way.
It would be rude and mean to ask anyone to step down.
There no law that you need equal number of bridesmaid and groomsmen.
You could have one guy walk two girls out.
There no other guy that going to your wedding you could ask?
That would be much better than cutting bridesmaid.

Is there a polite way to "fire" three bridesmaids? Nope! Luckily for you, there is no rule that says you must have an equal ratio of bridesmaids and groomsmen.

There is no polite way to be rude.
And there is nothing wrong with having an uneven number of attendants.

No, there's no polite way to cut down your bridesmaids.
There's also no reason to - the sides don't have to match.

NO! have the six bridesmaids and three groomsmen and leave it like that. The bridesmaid do not have to be escorted by groomsmen anyway.

No, there's no polite way to tell people, "Sorry but even numbers mean more to me than your friendship."
