Do Long Finned Serpae Tetra fight each other?

    Well, an employee recommended 3 LongFins for my tank instead of 5-6 so I have 3, is that bad?

    Yes, they will. It's natural. With a proper school (see my answer to your other question) the aggression should be minimal. It's just their way of getting along.

    there will be some chasing and nipping and it will be at it's worst early on because they're establishing dominance.

    Make sure you have at least 6 or they'll be nervous and the nipping will be really bad
