The United States has a lot more to worry about then invading Canada. The United States doesn't need a conflict with Britain to add to the list.

This question is not realistic. The US and Canada are NATO allies and massive trading partners. The US would benefit more simply having Canada as an ally and trading partner as they do now.

Assuming for a moment that it was a feasible scenario, just look at the Canadian military capability vs US military capability. The US spends $600 billion per year on their military. The US may not be able to conquer all of Canada, since it's one of the largest nations in the world (in land area), but they would be able to defeat Canada.

For what reason should the USA invade Canada ?

Don't you understand that if this happened America would have to take on the UK and all the commonwealth countries including Canada. That would be an Army of about 700,000 to take on.

Invade Canada? You nuts or what? Look what happened in 1812.

You got enough troubles on the Home Front already without taking on Canada.

Tried, lost and the White House was burnt down.

There's the fact that you can't make a country bigger than you the 51st State.

Canada is part of the British Commonwealth so that can be a problem too

No has that would violate international law, plus Canada is part of the commonwealth which would mean that Britain would be pissed off, and that would result well....in a war between Britain and America. So should they invade Canada, the answer is No.

No. Anything they have we can obtain by buying more cheaply than invading. Their populace are incorrigible socialists helpless, needy, and dependent on the government. If we invaded them they would just turn into democrat voters and demand welfare.

Ever been to Florida in winter? It is the annual Canadian invasion of the US, except they voluntarily leave because they will lose their healthcare if they are out of country more than six months per year.

I am looking forward to Trudeau ruining the economy like his Dad did. The exchange rate was awesome and you could get a fly in fish trip for walleye for pennies.

Well we tried that once in the War of 1812 and got our rear ends kicked. In the Articles of Confederation, our first governing document, the Canadian provinces were invited to join our union. But Canada is, has been, and always will be a separate nation with its own unique history and traditions. So no invasion; let's just be friends.
