Why doesn't the world have say in who becomes the US President?
The most powerful officeholder in the world is elected by a small margin from voluntary voters in one country, but his decisions affect the whole world-why shouldn't we have some say? Democracy? - hardly, for most of us he's an unelected person foist on us by the vagaries of the voting electors of his country. I doubt they are up to the task of making a wise choice.

"Why doesn't the world have say in who becomes the US President?"
Because it's the US president, not the world president.

I agree with you but for a different reason. The US seems to think it can behave with impunity so why not let the people who are going to be bombed have some say in it?
For that matter, why not let people from all over the world have a vote whenever there is an election in any country? I think we're on to something.

If you want to vote for the US president, have your country petition the US to become a state of the USA or a protective territory of the USA, you will get to pay taxes to support the USA and then you will be eligible to vote. If you want to remain independent, then you don't get to vote.

The world wants a lot of say in what the US does, but pays no taxes here, does not pull their weight in global efforts of all kinds, lives under the umbrella of protection the US provides for>70 years, and takes Billions in aid in many places. (except for the UK I should add)

because no one really knows from other countries a specific countries president/ prime minister as much as that particular country does.
