How do you write an exponential equation when the staring value is 0? What if the starting value was 1? Say the numbers tripled each time.?

    If you start with 0, any exponential growth still leaves you with 0. Three times zero is still zero.

    If you start with 1 and triple it each period, f(t) = 1 (3^t) = 3^t.

    you can't with the starting value of 0

    y = 3^(n) , with n=0, 1 , 2 , ...
