What are the best areas for viewing wildlife in Grand Teton National Park, especially large predators?

Sightings of wolves and grizzlies are very rare in easily accessed locations in the Tetons. The park is too heavily used by humans. I have backpacked there and also worked for a Summer in a field camp up in the Gros Ventre mountains above the Elk Refuge in the Tetons. But other than hearing coyotes howl sometimes at night we never saw a predator, only deer, elk, moose and bison.

The large herds of prey animals move up into the high country during the Summer, away from the crowds of tourists, so the predators will stay up there with them. You can spot brown bears in Yellowstone from the road but usually only the ones that have become habituated to humans and garbage scavenging.

You would have to hunt them or just get incredibly lucky. Predators are always on the move. I lived and hiked in mountain lion country most of my life and I heard "that growl" one night around midnight but I've never actually seen one. Same with bear (besides Yellowstone). Plenty of prints, never saw a live bear in the wild.

    Seeing large predators is difficult.

You can go into Yellowstone too,but again it is not like they are out walking around in the day time.
