Minnesota Vandalism?

So, my boyfriend slashed my ex tires. He is 18, almost 19 years old. I already know from googling that this is a misdemeanor, but what will likely be the punishment for this? He is going to come clean to the cops tomorrow at school (someone incriminated him). He slashed 3 tires. Help?

    And, you call this criminal loser bad *ss your BOYFRIEND? Is this the kind of guy you want in your life for the rest of your life. You need to wake up. He will slash your tires next and maybe you too. The only kind of help I can offer you is advice: Dump him immediately.
