What type of dog is Jake from Adventure Time; people say he is a bulldog, but I say he's like a pug. What is the difference between the two?

He is supposed to be a Bulldog. He doesn't look like either to be honest (neither breed is yellow and it IS a cartoon of course, but they did do a poorish portrayal of a Bulldog even for a cartoon lol).

What are the differences between Pugs and Bulldogs? Well for starters, Pugs are smaller. Bulldogs come in French or English variety typically (Jake would be English). They do look different - English Bulldogs are a bit fatter and have more wrinkles. Pugs come in solid black, fawn, silver fawn or apricot (the fawn, silver fawn and apricot colors have black faces and a black marking extending from the occiput to the tail.). Bulldogs have droopier lips compared to Pugs and Pugs have a more "punched in" look to their face. Pugs also have short, curly tails whereas a Bulldog has a short, stubby/knub tail.
