Is it safe to add more than 3 fish at a time to a tank?
I have a 75g with a jack Dempsey and a jewel cichlid. I'm planning on adding some tiger barbs (10+) but I don't want to add just three for two reason. 1) they are schooling fish 2) they are more likely to get eaten by the jack if there is only three and much more likely to get eaten if they are stressed. My tank is well cycled and I'm ready to do frequent water changes while the biofilter adjusts. Can I add 10 at the same time or is it destined for failure?

The tiger barbs are going to be eaten regardless of how many you get.
But yes it's safe to add more than three fish to a cycled tank, just don't feed heavily, it's the increase in food and waste that causes problems.
