Which way of telling a story do you think is better?
Telling the story as the events are happening or the character thinking back and telling the readers what happened? I'm leaning more towards the character thinking back. I just feel a lot more detail could be added there as well as events that are important more to the character than the book.

I think the more important part is how well the story is written. I mean both sides have proven to be just as good in the past. I used to use past tense, but right now I like present tense better. Use whichever way you like more, it shouldn't matter to your readers if the story is well-written.
