i think she killed him...?
it was the first time a had a baby pitbull
we loved him we where always scared of them but we found out that pit bulls are so lovable he was about 2weeks old when we got him form a Spanish guy in Metropolis Illinois we was staying in a hotel and he fell off the bed screaming i picked him up real fast holding him like a baby rocking back and forth
he wasn't standing up any more he would only stay up for 30 seconds and fall back down
i tried to take him to the vet but i never had much money till finally
Maybe a week away from Christmas i took him to this vet my mom cried like a baby on the women i've never seen her cry like that the Dr came and we told her we don't have much money we only have 20$
she made her sign a paper and she took him i heard i'm crying bad she came back
Saying i got bad news my mom fell to the floor before she began talking she said she tool an x-ray his legs aren't broken he has distemper she said by law she's gonna have to put him down
We all cried and said goodbye after Christmas we had to call back to see if he had rabies he didn't
my mom ask if he had distemper she replied i don't know we see in Tuesday
What? what do you mean the reason they put him down is because he had distemper
Now their saying he didn't the Dr did say it in a mean was she didn't even say i'm sorry
the receptionist hug my mom i think she did that because we didn't have money
We always took care of him our hearts is still broken

You should NEVER take in a dog or animal - if you do not have the money to care for one, INCLUDING the basic vaccinations. Your carelessness cost the puppy his life (one way or another). He was taken FAR too soon from his mother (if he was only 2 weeks old, versus 8 weeks) and he was either sick or would have gotten sick, without the vaccinations. Both Distemper & Parvovirus are FATAL in 80% of cases in untreated and unvaccinated puppies.

Unfortunately, many people who cannot afford to take care of a pet, do somehow get pets.
Pets have as many medical bills as people do - but affordable pet insurance that covers a lot is not readily available.
If you couldn't afford to get him neutered, all his shots regularly, vet check ups every year, and have money put aside for accidents such as what happened, he would have been in trouble, medically, anyway, at some point. It could have been a month later, a year later, 2 years...........and he would have suffered, as ,many dogs and cats do - we read about them HERE on "answers" when people can't afford vet care and the animals are in suffering for months or years - or be adopted out by someone who could afford care, or he would be euthanized.
The animal was suffering. When you see neuro problems such as falling over, and there is no money for proper treatment, the ONLY thing you can do is act empirically: treat the animal the best you can, betting on the most likely diagnosis. That diagnosis was distemper - but also, even if the dog didn't have it, he was suffering and you could not afford to have him tested to see what was going on. So the best solution WAS to put him out of his misery. He didn't need to have a short life of a couple o months of falling down all over the place until he was euthanized or died un-assisted.

Distemper would have killed him anyway. There's no cure. If he wasnt vaccinated then he probably did get it. Either way he would have died. Atleast this way he didn't suffer.

I'm not bothering to read this mess. You bought a puppy that was TWO WEEKS OLD! WTF?? It should have stayed with its mother till at LEAST 8 weeks so it was doomed from the start.
Then you couldn't afford a vet so when it needed one you denied it vet care. SHAME ON YOU. NEVER get another pet again - EVER!

Hm.. it may have just been that whoever you spoke with truly didn't know anything about the case, happens often unless they were there.

If this is true, and not just a trolling rant, the poor pup is now better off, now.
