Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop always seizing up.?
It's an older laptop, came with Vista, but installed win 7 pro on it. But always seems to seize up terribly for several minutes. Tried other HDs and even upgarded RAM, but can't stop it from horribly seizing up. HD doesn't seem to run much when opening programs, but then it 'loosens' up and runs like it should, and program works fine, until it seizes up again. Ideas? Thanks.
PS---laptop freezes up anytime, with any program. programs loaded are normal for what win 7 is set up for. Everything about laptop is clean and clear. Internal components work okay (unless hard drive is bad).
Has MS Essentials loaded, plus various other cleaning programs.
I know how to clean a computer, and have changed out parts and reinstalled windows before. I"m not a novice. But this has just started happening on this laptop recently. Thanks.
