Why don't they play the lotto live on TV anymore?

I've noticed on the local tv channels they never show the live lottery picks. Even the 1.5b powerball picks weren't played. Specifically that machine with the air and the balls flying around. The lady would pull on the slide and a numbered ball would fly up into the chute. Why don't they broadcast this anymore?

    They probably do somewhere, like maybe online but you're right...

    I remember my grandma tuning in to the drawing.

    She was rich already, but played lotto religiously... loved Vegas...

    that's strange but look in the newspaper it should be there the next day
