what to do- my whipped cream melted?

i am making a version of chocolate mousse and i added the whipped cream before the chocolate mixture was at room temperature and upon folding in the whipped cream, the whipped cream melted....can i wait for it to cool and rewhipp the mixture?

    I have never tried whipping Mousse again but I have whipped Ganache and it does whip nice and fluffy.

    I would say you have nothing to loose by trying to whip it after it has cooled.

    If it does not work the mixture should still taste real good so I would make a Trifle. Get a large bowl preferably a clear one. Layer chunks of cake with the mousse and more whipped cream. Finish the top layer with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. No one will know it was supposed to be a Mousse.

    It's worth a try. Make sure it's really cold before you do that. Really cold, but not frozen
