What kind of cow, and what kind of goat? A Dexter will need something smaller than a Holstein. And a dwarf will need something diffrent than a nubian! Update with the breeds or general sizes, and then we can tell you.

Alright! I adore Jerseys :) I had one as a kid, a little steer! He used to come inside the house all the time; untill he had an accident on the newly-mopped kitchen floor... My mom decided he would be a scrictly outdoor cow after that... (We still laugh about it)

For a Jersy you'd want around 100 square feet. Are you planning on keeping your goat with her? If so, then make two stalls. (How much land for them? At least an acre?) I'd say make a 20x10 enclosure, 20 LONG 10 DEEP. (in feet) and then use a 10x10 section for your cow, with at least one solid door so there isn't too much of a draft. (If you're handy, then you can make a half-half door so you can open the top half during warmer nights!) Put another wall about 5 feet down the structure (Figure make a big rectangal, then put two lines on it. One half way, then another half way.)

Use the biggest one for your cow.

Use the next room, in the near-middle of the structure, for your goat. Use the outer-small space for their things, or they'll get into them. Have it open into their pasture. :)

A dairy cow like a Jersy is more fragile than many, so they do best with a good amount of hay on their floors.

A goat; EXSPECIALLY a pygmy, will need NO DRAFTS. They will ALSO need at least a foot of hay, to bunk down into.

You might also want to make it hooked up so you can get a heat-lamp in for your goat. And in the pasture; have a few things scattered around that the goat can safely hide under in case your cow gets annoyed with them.

Also, make sure you have fool proof fencing for your goat; i remember how hard they are to keep in. x.x Even with the special goat fencing, the one learned how to leap onto it's friends back and OVER the fence. We had to figure out a way to put up a whole new layre of it ontop of the first; so it was about 8-10 feet high. ): The goat pen was almost two and a half acres. It was horrible...
