They're not trying to be last, but it's a team that can't find itself. When CM comes back, they'll pick it up.

That is a choice of the Oilers alone. The rest of the league are more concerned with gaining as many points as possible at the Oilers expense

Even if they finish last, they will only have a 25% chance of winning the No. 1 pick.

Its not a dumb idea. Look at the Chicago Cubs. They were REALLY bad but then after years of top 5 draft picks they finally got enough talent to compete. I think with the talent they have, they could compete. Give Mcdavid a few years and they will be legit.

Yes. They will get every single #1 overall pick until they actually make the playoffs- new rules.
