What are signs a former professor (he's 40 &single) is interested in dating me (I'm a 25 yr old woman &like him but just cant tell-HELP!)?

    15 years is a huge age gap especially when one party is only in their mid-20s. What do you really have in common with someone who's not quite old enough to be your father but was already 15 when you were born?

    It's true that some May/December romances work. But a lot don't. And many young women who do get involved with men who are much older end up resentng the things they initially liked about the man. For instance...a younger woman might start out liking an older man who is a lot more experienced and mature -- one who makes a lot of the decisions and shows her the way. Later though, they might see this as over-bearing and stifling.

    Ask yourself: what is it that attracts you to someone who is so much older? As your former professor, this man was an authority figure who had control over how well you would ultimately do in his class - he had the power to award you a B vs. an A. What do you really have in common? Having things in common is really important in long term relationships and if that's what you're ultimately seeking vs. a couple dates...perhaps look for someone closer to your own age...
