I get the feeling he's trying to tell me he's interested but first trying to figure out if I'm interested or if I'll laugh at him or reject him if he asks or something. The hard part is he's a professor at my former undergrad - I wasn't in his department and we met circumstantially &got to know each other &now I really have feelings for him, but I'm so frustrated &don't know how to get him to make a move -any advice would be great!

We have a couple mutual friends, who I feel like are hinting to me that he likes me -one always asks me "have u seen (guy)?" or says hey "(guy) was just talking about u -he says u got the fellowship!" &the other once said "(guy) REALLY likes you" Every time I see him, we hug each other& the convo flows really easily. Hes asked me if Im seeing anyone &what my approach to dating is, &also our mutual friends have told me he asked them about me. Idk I just get the vibe that he likes me too but then I doubt myself bc I think if he really had feelings for me, he'd come & GET me!

Another one of his friends who I was friends w before I knew they knew each other told me "u should go find [guy] while you're over there," because we were going to be in the same country briefly over the summer.

He hasnt made any really obvious moves, so I just want to kno what an obvious move would look like from a guy this much older than me-does it seem like he likes me? When we're alone, we have really deep convos, & he initiates asking me about my future life plan & goals, & does stuff like say "she's really smart," if I say something in a group convo.

Once, we were at dinner in a large group, & the group was all sharing their dating experiences, but someone made a joke that changed the subject & so I never got to talk about my own dating habits, but when everyone was leaving the dinner party, I saw him lean over & whisper something to his same female colleague who I'm friends with. At first, bc he was looking at me while whispering, but then I thought its just a coincidence - sometimes ppl just have to put their eyes somewhere, so I dismissed it, but as I was leaving, this colleague held me back & said "I've never asked you but are you seeing anyone?"

If you have ever dateda younger woman before (i.e I am 25 and the man I'm interested in and who I think likes me is 40), how did you let her know you were interestedin dating rather than just being nice? He was a teaching fellow of mine at my law school and now has been promoted at another university, and I work at a firm so we dont have that student-teacher conflict anymore (and havent for 1.5 years now!)

But then he does contradictory things like tell me how hes "had a lot of dates up there," when we walk by a building on campus, or how he& his friends were goofing off doing a school tradition when the cops saw them &chased him
