Tough to say who are the top 5 but Whiteside is not among them. Cousins is the best by far but after that it's hard.

3. Nikola Vucevic
4. Al Horford
5. Marc Gasol
If we count Pau Gasol as a Center he would be 3rd.

The Center position is probably the weakest in basketball right now, except maybe the Shooting Guard (but at least that has Harden Thompson and Butler). There are pretty much no superstars in this position unless you consider Cousins one (which I don't). My top 5 would probably be:
1. DeMarcus Cousins
2. Andre Drommund
3. Al Horford
4. Deandre Jordan
5. Tim Duncan
Whiteside has really good block numbers, which suggests he's a strong paint protector, but his advanced tracking data suggests that despite getting a lot of blocks, he isn't that effective. I can't put him top 5
